Hej White Fence!

En av de bästa sakerna med festivaler måste ju ändå vara det enorma smörgasbord av nya grymma band och artister, som serveras på löpande band till oss besökare. Visst håller du med mig? I så fall ska du inte missaWhat We Do Is Secret Summer Festsom drar igång nästa vecka! En av de bokade artisterna är multibegåvade White Fence, som kommer till oss hela vägen från soliga LA. Vi blev lite nyfikna på vem han är, och bestämde oss för att säga hej till amerikanen inför spelningen!

Hello! What's up?

– The sky

For those who don’t know, who are you?

– Tim Presley, who records and plays under the name White Fence.

Do you happen to have something to do with the gang White Fence in LA…?

– No, I have my own gang. But the name is the juxtaposition between the LA gang life verses the white picket suburban life. The good and the bad, the bad and the good. Evil with a twist of love, and love with a twist of evil.

What do you know about Sweden? (Swedes love these kind of questions..)

– I like your flag.

You have been touring since you were 18 years old, and you are recording music faster than most other musicians that I know about. Are you a workaholic?

– Yes, for better or for worse. It keeps me sane though. Its what I enjoy. Also, I know no other life than this.

I’ve noticed that you are doing a lot of visual art as well. Does the music come before the art, or the art before the music?

– It goes either way. It all depends on inspiration. Or what drugs are lying around.

Tell us what we will miss out on, if we don’t show up at your gig at WWDIS Summer fest?

– A Germs cover. But then again, what we do is secret.

What is on your agenda, after you finish your European tour?

– Record another LP. Or just write and record all day everyday. I have been working on music for a cartoon television show called Sanjay and Craig on a channel called Nickelodeon. So, probably do a lot of that.

Describe what life would be like without music?

– You would see tears turn into oceans, and birds flying backwards. The human voice would become extinct. And probably more sports.
