Hej The Bronx!

Hi! Who's answering on your behalf today?

– Hello! It's Matt aka Mr. California.

What are you up to?

– Hangin out in Huddersfield England today. Getting ready for soundcheck. Really cool town with a great record store called Vinyl Tap.

Your tour schedule is crazy, how do you survive? And most of all: how does your vocal cords cope from all that screaming?

– Playing music and screaming your face off every night is a privilege. If you take your body and mind for granted it will fail you. No matter how fucked up you get, there has to be something that balances out the demons. That's how you survive. Balance is the key to survival.

You're playing two night in a row in Gothenburg next week. Which band would you like to see for two nights in a row?

– If I could see any band for two nights in a row it would be ACDC. One night with Bon Scott. One night with Brian Johnson.

My mom thinks your music sounds disturbing, what does your parents think?

– My mom loves both the Bronx and el Bronx. She let me discover punk and get in trouble while encouraging me and letting me grow. Every now and then she'll read something strange that I said and call me to make sure I haven't gone off the deep end.

This is Swedens biggest artist, what do you think about his music?

– That's the worst thing I've ever heard.

Before you released your latest album Bronx lV, you started a mariachi band. Is there any other genre you'd consider trying?

– I would love to make a metal record.

What should we expect if we go see you in Gothenburg tomorrow?

– Expect to get your ass kicked!
