Hej Little Boots!

Little Bootsär inte bara engelska för små skor, utan också en brittisk multiinstrumentalist, dj och allmänt grym människa. Hon har jobbat med folk som Hot Chip-Joe Goddar, blivit uppmärksammad världen över och gjort låtar som blivit remixade av bland annat Fake Blood. Och vet ni vad? På fredag kommer hon till vår fina fiskeby för att spela skivor närTrunkfunkfixar fest på Yaki-Da.

First of all, what can we expect from your set on friday?

–Lots of fun disco, house, electro and pop… sequins and dancing!

Have you always been writing music?

–I've written songs since a very young age but only really found my sound when I started Little Boots and started dj:ing and playing more electronic instruments.

You're coming to Gothenburg for a dj gig, not a live gig. Which do you prefer, and why?

–I get a lot more satisfaction from live gigs as nothing can really beat that feeling of performing your own songs to a crowd. But dj:ing is lots of fun and less pressure, so I enjoy that too!

What's in Little Boots' nearest future?

–We have lots of music coming out this year and hopefully some touring too.

You've worked with some big names, but what is your dream collaboration?

–I was really lucky to work with Andy Butler from Hercules & Love Affair on some new material. That was amazing as I'm a huge fan.

You're a woman on the male dominated electro/house scene, has that affected your career in any way?

–Men and women are treated differently so I guess its impossible not to be affected by gender, but it certainly has never held me back or felt like an obstacle.

And now, for the million dollar question… How little are the boots?

–UK size 3.
