Hej Fidlar!

Publicerad Senast uppdaterad

Hi! How are you?

Not bad.

Who represents your band for this interview today?

Brandon.

Hi Brandon, for those who dont know, who are you?

Just a guy from California sitting in a hotel in Stockholm. I also play bass and say thank you

You are coming to Gothenburg on Wednesday, what can we expect from your gig? I've heard your shows tends to get pretty sweaty…

Yeah we try to make people sweat as much as possible, we're really into sweat and are trying to share our sweat with as many people as possible.

What will you bring with you from Los Angeles?

To the show? Umm… Probably some sort of hat, our instruments, our sunny disposition.

You have just released your debut album, which you produced all by yourselves. Are you satisfied with the result?

Yeah, we worked really hard on it and we really wanted to do the recording's ourselves and I think it sounds great. I think it really gives a good first impression of our band.

How are you feeling about the feedback you have received so far?

I try to not to have too strong of feelings about the feedback but I think altogether its been pretty positive.

What bands and artists influence your sound?

Black Flag, Black Lips, Black Sabbath, The Black Angels, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

You have been touring with our Swedish friends from The Hives, do you have any confidential stories from the tour..?

We went out with them in Chicago for Elvis (our guitarist/singer) birthday. They sang a Swedish song in the bar and got him so wasted he threw up while sitting at the bar. Then Vigilante got kicked out for getting into a an argument with the bartender. Also some of us were on ecstasy.

Haha yeah, listening to the album there is a lot of drug references, I guess it's personally experienced?

For the most part, but it sounds a lot crazier than it probably is… We are actually real nice boys.

You guys are quite young, what do you think you are doing in 10 years? Still touring?

Hopefully still doing exactly what we've been doing… Recording music and playing shows.

What are you longing for right now?

A drink… We just got done with a 6 hour drive.

Thank you, and welcome to Sweden.

No thank you, we are stoked to be here!
