Sats har börjat med zumba. Jag tyckte om att vara på ett pass som inte bara spelar reklamradiohits. Vad jag ville säga med detta var: Sanna mina ord, världsmusiken är på gång! Även om den kommer till Sverige i form av latino-versioner på The Roof Is On Fire...

Ni som uppskattade awesome tapes from africa och analog africa kommer definitivt att gilla africolombias blogg. Jag förstår knappt ett ord men det spelar ingen roll när man kan ladda ner gamla jazzplattor och greatest hits från Afrika eller sydamerikansk storbandsmusik.

Det råder ju inga tvivel om vilken kontinent som är min favorit. Jag tänker på bilderna som pryder music/today. De flesta är tagna i Tanzania eller på Zanzibar. Den resan kom jag inte över på säkert ett halvår... Och nog för att jag säkert nämnt den tidigare är Analog Africa en grym blogg som just nu har en mycket bra låt av Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou. Awesome Tapes From Africa är en annan blogg som bjussar på kassetter från afrikas alla hörn. African Music Videos bjuder på precis det som namnet lovar, allt sorterat efter land. Mali och Senegal är heta tips för den som inte är så insatt. Jag och min pappa har faktiskt pratat om en musikresa till Senegal ett tag nu. (Någon som varit där?) Jag har säkert nämnt det förut, men Utrus Horas av Orchestra Baobab (Spotify) från just Senegal är det närmaste man kan komma en favoritlåt för mig. World Service har intressanta biografier om banden. Hoppas ni hittade något ni gillar! Och för den nyfikna, så är plånboken från Acne och är alldeles fantastisk för mig som aldrig hade koll på kort tidigare, och som dessutom är alldeles precis lagom stor för att rymma passet när man är ute och reser.

I saw them at Clandestino Festival last year and they are absolutely amazing. World Service offers interesting biographies of their band as well. Hope you've found something you like! And for the curious type, my wallet on the picture is from Acne and is perfect for me who had big trouble handling all cards and business cards before. And it's just big enough to fit a passport when travelling.
